STRENGTHENING OUR DEMOCRACY

It’s going to take all of us.

Organizing and mobilizing the American Jewish community to protect and strengthen American democracy

As far back as the Revolutionary War, the Jewish community has organized and advocated for a vibrant democracy that represents the will of the people while protecting the rights of individuals and minorities. Now, as we confront myriad threats to our democracy, we need to work together – across lines of difference – to ensure its survival for us and for future generations.

Dig into our argument for democracy.

To help you understand our argument, approach, and evidence, we’ve published this brief white paper on the Jewish Imperative to Protect and Strengthen American Democracy.

About Us

A More Perfect Union: The Jewish Partnership for Democracy exists to build and support a robust, well-resourced, transpartisan Jewish coalition working together to strengthen democracy. Our goal is to support, convene, and mobilize the nearly 10,000 American Jewish organizations in a collaborative effort to ensure free and fair elections and to protect and strengthen democratic culture.

Our work, modeled on collective impact, inspires Jewish institutions to make bold-but-achievable commitments, support learning and innovation, and ultimately deliver meaningful action by the Jewish community on behalf of American democracy.
