Exploring the Misinformation Landscape

Dan Evon of the News Literacy Project joins us for the second of four discussions about media literacy as we work together to ensure free, fair, safe, and accessible elections in 2024.

Together, we will discuss how to identify types of misleading, inaccurate and false information, how to recognize common propagators of falsehoods and how to evaluate motivations for sharing misinformation. We will also demonstrate essential fact-checking skills.

Supporting the Smooth Administration of Local Elections

Join A More Perfect Union for a partner-exclusive discussion of how we, as faith institutions, can engage with and support the smooth administration of local elections come this fall. This event will include:

  • A briefing on the challenges facing local election officials, including both increasing disruption from bad actors and the challenge of recruiting enough poll workers

  • The launch of two toolkits designed explicitly to help Jewish organizations support these officials and their work to bring us free and fair elections

  • A look at the newly-launched Digital Hub to support partners doing free, fair, safe, and accessible election work in 2024

Election 2024: What We Can Do Together

Join us on April 11 as we publicly "kickoff" our free, fair, safe, and accessible elections work for the 2024 election season. Together, we'll discuss key opportunities for Jewish institutions and individuals to engage and support this shared imperative including:

  • A briefing on the top concerns and opportunities for Jewish and faith communities heading into the 2024 General Election

  • A vetted, nonpartisan list of supported ways to engage around this year's election (for institutions and individuals!)

  • An announcement about our second round of Ignition Grant funding for the Jewish Partnership for Democracy

Join Strategic Advisor Chris Crawford (Policy Advocate, Protect Democracy) for a brief presentation and then Q/A session on maintaining nonprofit status (also known as 501(c)3 compliance) during an election year. Chris has advised and support faith groups doing democracy and election work for many years and is the perfect person to put your mind at ease.

This is a common concern for network partners and we want to equip you with all the knowledge you need to navigate 2024 with confidence. This session is available exclusively to members of the Jewish Partnership for Democracy.
